Discovering what love is one day at a time
There is beauty in confidence. Confidence comes from humility. Beauty can be seen in the heart full of confidence…A heart that has no doubt in its source and its supply. A heart that is full of confidence is motivated by what it can give. That confident heart is one that is willing to give all that it has, and has no concern for what it gets in return. A confident heart looks for opportunity to give no matter the circumstance. A confident heart will bring increase to another always. A confident heart is a heart full of hope, it is flourishing and full and overflowing with gratitude.
Yet there is not beauty in arrogance, in fact the heart that is full of arrogance is motivated by what it can gain, and is moved by pretense. This heart moves forward from its lack, and will hoard its possessions and that of others, taking from and plundering the hearts of those that surround them. It will not take into account the state of the heart, or its vulnerability, but will pursue until it is overtaken. Arrogance is a relative to entitlement, allegation, dissatisfaction and complaint. Arrogance will break a bruised reed, cutting off its water supply.

We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal...Truth can be very difficult to hear. It is not always something that makes you feel good. But the truth that is the best is God’s truth. It sets you free. There is truth that hits you hard. Your husband/wife is having an affair…your son /daughter just told you he/she molested another child, your teenage daughter is pregnant, your girl-friend really is a man, your mom really would rather sleep with women than with men. You are a gossiper, a liar, a cheater, and an alcoholic, your husband is a meth addict, your boss is a narcissist, your cousin……………………………………………………….
I was thinking about Jesus and His death and resurrection, how He died for us, and took our place, and that got me to be thinking of that phrase “caught red-handed” which it is a straightforward allusion to having blood on one's hands after the execution of a murder. Although we were not there when they crucified Him, He did take on our sins, our wrong doing, and died for us. My sins, your sins, put Him there. We had been caught …red-handed.
