Discovering what love is one day at a time
The only thing that truly stands in the way of our relationship with God…is us. We have the ability to refuse His love in such a way that we do not let Him in.
I find the definition of the word let interesting. Merriam Webster’s Dictionary points to the origin of let to be Middle English letten, from Old English lettan to delay, hinder; akin to Old High German lezzen to delay hurt, Old English lǣt late. As a noun it means something that impedes or an obstruction. As a transitive verb, let means to cause to, or to make.

I fix my eyes upon You LORD God, and consider everything a loss,
That I may gain Christ In order for your Word to be found by my mouth, reached for by my heart, And heard and heeded by my ears I do not consider myself to know anything, or desire anything but knowing You; That I may not sin against you or fall into a pattern of unbelief, Humiliate me, that I will be hidden in the day of Your anger. |
AuthorI have been married to my wonderful husband for 29 years. We have two young men ages 25 and 20.. This blog is somewhat of a journal and attempt for me to remind myself of my purpose and invite others to join me in keeping an eternal perspective as we move through each day. Archives
